    Round 3

Lundy is surgical with the jab but doesn't seem to be making a serious attempt to land anything else - throwing power shots from crazy angles purely for effect and showmanship with no hope of connecting. Lowther isn't doing anything too wrong, per se, using upper body movement and keeping up the lateral march on his toes - but he's letting the faster man jab him up and stay out of harm's way. Lowther "goes to the basement" with a body jab just as Teddy suggests it, much to the color commentator's delight.

Oh damn. That would be tragic.

A lot of boxing/racing analogies. They are exactly the same thing. There's going to be so much crossover between Nascar and boxing now.

    Round 4

Lundy lands a southpaw 1-2 and then swats a Lowther straight right hand away with his own right hand. Lundy is changing up his stance during his orbit of Lowther. Lundy seems almost bored and this has the feel of a sparring session with Lowther not taking many risks. He does land a nice reach-down left hook on a dipping Lundy right before the bell to end the round.

    Round 5

Lowther tries to jab his way in, parrying Lundy's jab but takes a flush left cross to the jaw. Lundy's hand speed is carrying the day for him, despite his low accuracy overall. Lundy throws a wild leaping uppercut and then ducks down low when it misses to glide past Lowther without taking damage. Lundy's being a bit of a daredevil. Lowther throws a 1-2 that shows his limitation - he's still lunging forward with the extension of the right hand looking confused while Lundy has meanwhile circled almost behind him. Lundy jabs and tries to follow up with a left cross but winds up nearly climbing up over the shoulder of Lowther and grabbing him in a near headlock. Another left cross lands flush on Lowther's chin while the two are parrying one another's opposite-stance jabs. Lowther keeps a jab in Lundy's face but gets swarmed away with wild shots punctuated by little poodle barks.

    Round 6

Lowther is doing a bit of a standing roll, maybe trying to get himself into a punching rhythm. He does pop out of the roll to throw a 1-2 and mixes it up high and low, so he is at least increasing his variety. Lundy is still able to recognize all of Lowther's attacks and come up with quick blocks or slippery moves on his feet, and landing enough jabs to stay out in front. Lundy drops his left hand to his hip and postures in front of Lowther, then leaps forward with a triple hook out of a righty stance before switching back again. Lundy lands a straight left to the body to end the round.

Did you give Lowther the same round Atlas did? (the third, was it?)

I haven't found one for him. :conf

All of these analogies aren't really analogies. They're just stupid puns. Bless Teddy Atlas.

Yea I did. I liked the step back counter Lowther did....that's about the ony significant punch he has landed thus far.

    Round 7

Lowther is able to time the somewhat slowing Lundy a bit with his jab. A right hand to the body gets through for Lowther while Lundy is trying to flurry on him. Lowther lets a lazy overhand right hang up over Lundy's shoulder where it is blocked and trapped while Lundy lands a right of his own. Lundy finishes out of the orthodox stance, hooking and running.

"Use the jab (to dress the window). Then you can put Santa Claus in there".

"Then our wives run away with out credit cards"

"DON'T EVER INTERRUPT ME WHEN I'M IN THE ZONE, JOE! I LOVE YOU BUT I WILL STICK A GUN IN YOUR FACE!"

The best way to setup a MACY's storefront display is to USE THE JAB. USE THAT JAB. Den put Santa Claus in dere. And the reindeer.
