Thomas Williams Jr. vs. Enrique Ornelas, 10 rounds @ light heavyweight

 

Round 1

Ornelas is plugging in the right hand on the chest and chin of Williams, pressing in and covering up after landing. Williams tosses right jabs and hooks, leaning back and then falling in to lean atop Ornelas. Solid rights by Ornelas, slow and steady as Williams flashes mostly empty hand speed.

Round 2

Ornelas is throwing everything into right hands, falling in, getting pushed down upon and cuffed with quick light flurries dropped from above by the much rangier Williams. Right hook and left hand combos by Williams, scoring along the sideburns and temples as Ornelas pokes a jab and falls in with rights. Ornelas slides off the ropes and loads up a telegraphed left hook and Williams plops in a counter overhand left on the brow, dropping Ornelas abruptly. Ornelas is pushing into Williams and wrestling on the inside. Quick right hook and left hand combos on the outside by Williams.

He is the brother of Librado Andrade, better overall fighter IMO. Past his prime now though.

 

Agreed, I've been underwhelmed by him several outings in a row now.

 

Round 3

Ornelas is falling in with right hands on the chest and pushing off as Williams counters with both hands. Ornelas is slapping in a left hook to go with the right hand and clinging to Williams to stem the busy counter flurries. Straight left to the chest and overhand left behind the ear by Williams as Ornelas backs into the ropes. Double right hook by Williams; Ornelas down and floundering.
