Prescott is swaying back to dodge the Lawson jab and backhanding his own from the hip. Prescott is starting to drop the right hand unseen on the upper rear of Lawson's skull. Lawson is blocking and falling back, poking out with his jab, not reaching the lengthier Prescott while still getting touched up with Prescott's smattering of jabs and forced to curl up when Prescott unloads the right.

Prescott is forcing Lawson into the ropes consistently, loading up on a pinball-launcher right hand, telegraphing it with his fist drawn back to his shoulder but still managing to rattle Lawson's cage or even land with it. Prescott is pushing ahead. Lawson is looking fatigued and seeking rest periods on the ropes, flurrying in spurts when Prescott comes in.

Prescott is keeping the jab fixed on Lawson and swooping in with long right uppercuts. Lawson is fleeing to the ropes. Sloppy lashing combos by Lawson up close as Prescott bears down on him, smothering him against the ropes. Lawson is clawing at Prescott's back with both gloves in motions similar to snapping out a dirty blanket. Prescott is looping wild rights and missing as Lawson backpedals into the ropes. Clinch. Break. Lawson is caught between the eyes at the end of a few of Prescott's jab and begins to adjust, catching them on his fist, punching into Prescott's jab to nudge it away. Clinch.
