Prescott is carrying his arms low, drawing the left up like a well-pail and pushing jabs at Lawson, badly telegraphed. Lawson is bouncing his back off the ropes, bounding around the ring, keeping his guard up, deflecting Prescott's jabs and depositing his between Prescott's chompers. Prescott is obliging with his fly-trap open the entire time on the march.

Prescott is chasing after Lawson, pumping a slow 1-2. Lawson ducks, weaves to one side, jumps up with a jab and confuses Prescott by springing off his insoles moving in the opposite direction and throwing an uppercut. Just too much going on for Prescott to keep track of. Lawson is muscled into a corner and bashes at Prescott with his right arm, then grabs him behind the back. The ref yells to let go. Prescott throws away his jab, missing by a mile behind Lawson's right flank, and bowls in a right hand, skidding across Lawson's left temple. Lawson is on his toes, luring Prescott around the ring, changing elevation, using a peekaboo guard, popping jabs. Clinch. Break, Prescott landing a soft kidney punch unseen by the ref on the break. Lawson is dancing around forcing jabs straight-out from his throat into Prescott's. Right hand by Prescott, just tickling Lawson, countered by a jab.
