Come now, BE. I said his chin isn't the greatest and that his reliance on it has created the illusion of it being sturdier than it is with him standing up to kitchen sinks from a parade of non-hitters...but Polish level? It isn'tthat bad.

Mauricio Herrera vs. Miguel Gonzalez would be fun, if probably not very dramatic or capricious.

Herrera by wide UD, dropping a couple late.

If he did, it's a big achievement. Taras Shelestyuk excelled in the amateurs, nabbed Olympic bronze, and I'm expecting him to enjoy a very successful pro transition. (to me he seems better suited for it than say Zou Shiming)

It's actually more dangerous for him to continue taking half-hour sustained beatings from light hitters. If he racked up a few more consecutive KO1 losses it would be far less detrimental to his long-term neurological health. (and might prod him more quickly into hanging them up)

I don't like the hype. :good It was more for comparative purposes, though - he's the current Olympian everyone is buzzing over (or rather, having shoved down out throats by the media) despite being past his best and not having a style really built for pro success. I'm high on Shelestyuk because he is still fresh and does have a style that could work.

I dislike his clear am style (hence the name Shou Shining).
It's that he's fighting at such a low weight, with very little good opposition that I expect him to pick up a belt, but he clearly isn't pro box material.
