Barriga is doubling his jab, finding Mendoza even as he ducks and rolls. Barriga is making Mendoza pay dearly for every mistake, landing three-punch combinations as counters. Barriga is making Mendoza miss everything he chucks, no matter the range or altitude. Mendoza now just hurling snowball right hands, close but no cigar, Barriga backing up and countering. Barriga is walked into the corner and looks even more like a Mayweather clone with his mannerisms there, twisting and slipping punches. Barriga pops a jab into the face stepping out toward the clear sailing in the middle of the ring. Mendoza walks up and presses into him, clinch, break.

Round 6

Barriga is feinting with the jab, making Mendoza react while circumventing him. Barriga trips, almost stumbles but rights himself. Barriga is jabbing and hooking from outside, keeping Mendoza at bay. Barriga is caught on the neck by a well-timed (or lucky) looping Mendoza right. Barriga pushes several light right jabs into the guard to hush Mendoza down. Barriga is cutting inside, making Mendoza nervous with his nettling jab. Mendoza throwing wild shots and missing badly again. Barriga is controlling the pace with the southpaw jab and moving around the ring fluidly. 1-2 by Barriga. Mendoza seemed to bristle at that, might've been affected. Another left hand by Barriga, yeah, Mendoza starting to feel the cumulative effects.

Round 7

Barriga is snapping his right jab out, keeping Mendoza shelled up and quiet. Barriga is now incorporating more left crosses, and starting to bang Mendoza on the nose, getting the reaction he's looking for. Mendoza spooking, backing away. Barriga is pressing the advantage but not selling out and going crazy. Barriga hangs out at mid-range and toys with Mendoza, pawing jabs, looking for weak spots. Wild right hand by Mendoza, dodged. Mendoza covering up as Barriga works a combo off the jab. Barriga is hit behind the head by a stray left hook from Mendoza while circling by him. Barriga gestures for the ref to give a warning but the ref is letting them work. Jabs traded at point blank, Barriga getting the better of it although I think that might've been the first jab Mendoza landed today.

This isn't a bad fighter here that Barriga is COMPLETELY dismantling.
