    How on earth are they planning to have the main event by 1pm local time? (an hour and twenty minutes from now)

    There are still potentially 52 rounds / 208 minutes worth of boxing on the card, AFTER this match in progress. Another six rounder, two eights, and three scheduled for ten before we reach the main event. That is 3.5 hours' worth - not counting ring walks or between fight downtime.

    Some of those matches get canned? Are they going to stage the bulk of the card as walkout bouts? Were they just assuming there would be lots of quick blowouts?

    This fight's growing on me. Still don't regret taking an opportunity to prep a little snack to fuel me through it once the card reaches its business end, but keeping an eye on it has been fun, especially with the commentators' reactions to every big shot.

    Maybe the 1PM start time was meant for the bigger fights of the card, and not specifically the main event?
