Alolod comes attacking, Cuerdo falls, the ref comes running over while Cuerdo is hitting the canvas waving his arms saying "No, low blow, not a knockdown" - hard to say, it all happened fast. Okay, here's a replay. Couple of right hooks on the navel by Alolod. Eh. Those were okay. Legit body shot knockdown there. Missed call by the ref. Anyway, time in now that Cuerdo is recovered from the "low blow". Cuerdo now lining up southpaw 1-2s. Alolod is slamming down lefts and still working the body with right hooks. Cuerdo is starting to take over now a little over a minute in. Cuerdo has Alolod pinned briefly on the ropes. Alolod is getting his neck snapped back by Cuerdo's jab, and is getting prodded with 1-2s on the chest, backing him up. Alolod working uppercuts as he turns the tables and puts Cuerdo in a corner momentarily. Cuerdo spins out, they switch places, and Cuerdo lands some hard scooping rights into the body.

Round 5

They are both jabbing in on each other, raising their arms to block and crouching as they get close. They end up pushing each other down. Ref in to maintain order. Very uncharacteristically cautious and tactical round from this pair, for the first two minutes. Drifting around each other, single-jabbing. Edge to Cuerdo, although Alolod starts fighting truer to form in the final 45 seconds, launching lefts heavily over the top. Cuerdo counters nicely with some 1-2s.

Round 6

Cuerdo is snapping a jab out, keeping Alolod outside. Alolod is getting annoyed, pecking his way in, slashing with rights at the body and letting the left sail in from above to herald his approach. Cuerdo now warned for a low blow and the ref says the next one from either is a deduction (although I'm not sure many of the ones the ref warned Alolod for actually were, but this one definitely was, a good few inches below the belt ). Cuerdo has the jab dialed in, and starts catching Alolod with counter 1-2s. Alolod goes down to a tripod! Not seriously hurt but Cuerdo doing a number on him with clean connects.

Round 7

Alolod has a point taken early, as he was the next to stray a little south of the border after Tapdasan's final warning. Time in. Cuerdo is boxing nicely, now, avoiding getting dragged into a firefight with Alolod. Cuerdo is depressing Alolod's cheekbone like a giant doorbell with the jab, over and over from long range. A few straight combos here and there for Cuerdo. Alolod dragging his arms a long way, wasting an awful lot of effort for nothing, as most of his shots just churn the air.
