ESPN's Dan Rafael says Mayweather-Pacquiao is not close

    "Dan the man, I keep hearing comment from Pacquiao saying things are being discussed from him fighting Mayweather and Mayweather obviously wants to fight now, how close is this to actually happening? Have you heard anything to lead you to believe this wll happen once and for all?

    Don't worry nobody will reply, while 10 other threads randomly gets bumped while this one falls off the 1st page, this place makes me sick at times, but can't stop visiting

    Yeah I know. I think people don't want to see the reality in the situation. As long as Pacquiao has a lawsuit against Mayweather we can conclude that this fight is nowhere near happening.

    Fight hype have an article that backs up what Fat Dan says but you know the saying Fight Hype is biased.

    I'm worried about this fight getting made, I really think Arum has no intention of making it whatsoever!

    Not sure what you're asking. If the fight doesn't happen there are three winners being Pacquiao, Arum, and any other fighter that fight Pacquiao because right now you've got two big fighters in boxing and that is Pacquiao and Mayweather if/when Pacquiao loses to Mayweather now you only have one big fighter in Mayweather at leat until Alavarez or Chavez Jr. gets to superstar status.

    But I can tell you this the loser if we don't get the fights is us the fans not because it is a great fight because it's a one-sided fight in favor of Mayweather but because this MIGHT be the only chance for this generation to see a fight that will have they hype the lopsided Mayweather-Pacquiao would get.

    Watch people come in here in some how talk **** about Dan for reporting this...Instead of addressing the issue on how Arum has told countless of lies to the media...Dan will some how get insults thrown his way.:-(

    No. He never addressed why but seeing as how ESPN was the ones to report that the mediator (former federal judge) communicated to Mayweather's team they Top Rank is not open for negotiations thats probably the reason.
