ESPN's ESPY Boxing Award downgraded

    Don't know if you guys saw this, but an ESPN ESPY Award
    will now go to the best fighter (not Boxer) and will include
    Boxers & MMA's in competition for the award.

    These are two completely different sports IMO.

    Looks like the Boxers got "Kellerman 'ed" like Merchant did.

    What do you guys think..this Texan wants to know.

    It's another sign of the lack of mainstream sports media interest in boxing and the growth of MMA. Probably not a really big deal, but I was disappointed to see the award changed all the same.

    I won't lose any sleep. But for a network that televises boxing twice a week and frequently on its Classic Channel, I would expect more. It is a relection of ESPN and not boxing.
