Just as Pac cannot catchup PBF unless he racks up a series of wins or PBF looses, Calzaghe cannot catch up to Pac unless Pac looses or not fight any quality for years. MAB was higher p4p than Kessler was at the time of their beatings, it could be due to popularity but time will tell just how good Kessler is when he faces the Pavliks, Taylors & Hopkins and beats them.

Id say the Kessler win is comparable to the Morales wins easily. Yo are forgetting Manny lost to Erik the first time, and by the time he fought him again Morales was clearly not the same fighter he was few years prior, as good as a P4P win as it was. I think yes though, Mannys resume is a little bit better at this stage, however I will never feel Pac is more skilled than Joe.

People are forgetting how the fight schedule took place. Its not a SRL-Duran 2&3 case where SRL had waited years and years to give the rematch. The rematch took place 9months after Morales won, if anyone shot Morales in that 9months it would be Pacman. Morales was gonna enough to beat a p4p fighter 9months ago, how shot could he be?

Nobody feels Pac is more skilled than Joe, then again MAB is 10* more skilled than Pac too. Its not how Pac wins, Pac wins with explosive power, speed, aggresion and stamina. Much lesser fighters than Pac have trouble Joe, guys like Bika gave Joe a fight. Now imagine Bika was alot faster, more tenacious, better stamina and better power. Its a pretty damm even fight.

True, but also you can not forget fighters nowadays, heck even in the past, can become 'shot' extremely quickly, some fighters have shown a ridiculous decline over two or three months. I'm not saying this to take away from Manny, the second fight was an excellent win,(as opposed to the third which was a bit of a no-brainer). You are talkign about guys like Bika against Calzaghe as well, surely you realise some elite fighters have had tough nights against durable opponents throughout their career. Duran was never grade A impressive against all his tier B opponents, neither was Mab, or Kosta etc etc etc. You say imagine Bika had extra speed, and power, I feel the elite fighter, Joe, would acclimatise to fighting the better version and still win convincingly. Some boxers can not get that motivated and fiercely determined against someone like Bika as opposed to fighting Lacy or Kess. Get me?

Bottom 10 is horrible. How in the hell is someone as unskilled as Antonio Margarito ranked but Chad Dawson not?? One of the worst lists I've ever seen.:-(

**** no. A guy who was brought in to make Margo look good doesn't impress me. Not to mention Dawson's one win over Adamek is better than anything on Margo's resume. If you can't see Dawson is the better P4P boxer over Margo then YOU DON'T KNOW BOXING.:deal

Man you know I'm bullshitting. I'm more anti Margarito than you are. You just argue with Capfunds way more than me.

Are you questioning the boxing intellect of respected ESPN columnist Dan Rafael?

    I've seen worse top 10's

I'd have Cotto above Marquez, and I've no idea why Winky-Wright is top 10 material

I'd move the others up, ditch Winky-Wright, to make room for Diaz

Least they've got Pavlik about right. He gets ranked far too highly on here

10-20 is a bit shakey. De La Hoya, Margarito and John shouldn't be on it, and should be replaced by Dawson, Kessler and Haye. There is also a case to be made for Wlad and Mijares, possibly at the expense of Taylor, who is a fraud and Spinks who is too inactive. Hatton should be late teens

Rafael is a known Margo hugger and was part of the Margo hype machine.
