make a medicine ball, u will probably have to fill a basketball with cement to feel and burn, but average people but some sand in it.

    Canvas

It is very durable if you're into home made equipment. A friend of mine built a heavy bag out of canvas and a sheet of industrial foam, stuffed with shredde clothes and fish tank sand.

A boxing gym out side or at home doesnt require much equipment. That's the beauty of Boxing.

this is a pretty dumb question, since you've been boxing for what? a couple of months?

anyway, I would say, wraps, gloves, heavybag (most important), jump rope, and medicine ball. Speed bag, double-end bag and mitts are good to have, but not "essential" - plus if you have nobody to use the mitts.....
