Your list is almost right, but not quite....this is my version of the greatest Hispanic fighters:
    Carlos Monzon
    Jose Napoles
    Carlos Ortiz
    Roberto Duran
    Pasquel Perez
    Sal Sanchez
    Wilfredo Gomez
    Alexis Arguello
    Kid Gavilan
    Wilfred Benitez
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Miguel Canto
    Eder Jofre
    Nicolino Locche
    Ruben Olivares
    Felix Trinidad
    Panama Al Brown
    Antonio Cervantes
    Kid Chocolate
    Ismael Laguna
    Vincente Saldivar
    Carlo Zarate
    Sixto Escobar
    Luis Rodriguez
    Ricardo Lopez
    Victor Galindez
    Marco Antonio Barrera
    Rodrigo Valdez
    Eusebio Pedroza
    Manuel Ortiz
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Hector Camacho
    Pipino Cuevas
    Carlos Palomino
    Esteban DeJesus
    Erik Morales
    Lupe Pintor
    Daniel Zaragoza
    Ernesto Marcel
    Rafael Herrera
I could not place Duran over two men I think would have beaten him..namely Jose Mantequilla Napoles and Carlos Ortiz..controversal choices maybe, but I stand by them, as I remember their heydays as well as Duran's.

Is that in order? Ricardo Lopez is far to high in my estimation.

Maybe so...I may have second thoughts about some of the rankings...but I'm very sure of the top ten, especially Monzon and Napoles at one and two.

Having Juan Manuel Marquez above Erik Morales is absolutely insane. Bill Butcher would have a heart attack, and quite frankly, I wouldn't blame him. Morales has a stupendous resume, whereas Marquez has close shaves over once great fighters...oh, and a draw over Manny Pacquiao.

Ok, you may be right about that too, as I've always been very conflicted as to where to rank Morales...but I do know that MAB ranks above him, as well as JMM..who beat a post dated version of Barrera.

Agreed, Marquez is much more versitile than Morales. As good as Morales is. Skill level is very close though.

Marquez aint versatile. He's very well schooled, but also a quintessential one-paced plodder.

He can fight off the ropes, Attack effectivly, Counterpunch very well. Fight as well on the inside as outside. Morales as good as offensivley as he is. is more of a one dimensional attack fighter.

I disagree. Marquez is very versatile. He can fight on the back foot and on the front foot, he can outbox his opponent and outpunch them.

But still ranks much much higher than Marquez based on his stupendous resume, of which Marquez does not have. Barrera, Pacquiao, Hernandez, Chavez, Jones, Zaragoza, Ayala.

Yeah, Marquez didn't get the big fights till much later in his career. He was avoided early on & was fustrated in his career path.

Marquez front foot fighting is mediocre imo, especially if he's fighing someone giving him angles, where he can't plant himself easily.

I don't think much of his offense in the "outboxing" sense either, he doesn't have a good chessmatch game.To me, no matter who he fights he just mainly does his plant and counter, quality textbook powershots thing.90% of the time at the same steady pace.He can't really slug or maul fighters either.

This isn't meant to be a huge knock on him though. He's very good at what he does( and boxer-puncher favoruites of mine like Kalule i'd call similarly one-dimensional in a similar fashion)but doesn't have what i look for in a boxer-puncher regarding versatility.Of the Morales, JMM, MAB trio, Barrera was the versatile one imo, though that doesn't necessarily mean he was outright better.
