Lets assume that in todays age Esteban could shave off a few more pounds and make 130 with no ill effects.

    Over 12

    ????????????????????????

I think Nelson would come on strong down the stretch to win by decision or late stoppage.

Dejesus cultured heavy left-hook would be a great weapon against Nelson.

I think he has a good chance of being the first to KO Nelson clean after a spirited fight.

I agree with what you said, except that Sanchez stopped Nelson.

Good observation there Mante, that left hook was murder if he landed it solidly. I don`t know if he would succeed in knocking Nelson out though, but dumping him on his keyster once or twice with it wouldn`t surprise me one bit. Esteban was a very, very good fighter and on his best night he would more than hold his own with Nelson, would have been a very interesting fight either way.

It was how easily sanchez tagged him with it that made me think of Esteban's hook and this is a fight where Nelson has to be aggressive and try to impose himself physically. He sure isn't going to outbox Dejesus and leaving himself opwen while coming forward like he did against sal could be disastrous.

Interesting match up. I like Azumah's chances much more over 15 rounds than I do over 12. Esteban is too good a boxer and should get ahead on points. Over 12, he probably would survive. Over 15 it's a bit more questionable, though I'd still favour Esteban to hold on and see it through to a tight points win.

I think Azumah just edges DeJesus over the distance.
