I watched his first bout with Duran recently. The guy could fight. Even money fight in my book.

Pretty big height and reach difference in favour of Oscar, but as Perry said, the guy could fight. If Oscar can control distance and keep it on the outside I think he'd win. But Esteban's a under rated fighter.

The last two fights are spectacular fights to watch, miles more entertaining than the Pac - Mayweather fight.

I really like Dejesus here over 15 rounds. And I also believe Oscar would be picking himself off the canvas at least once after one of those explosive counter-punches by Dejesus. Oscar was too much of a growing boy at 135.

It's true his chin didn't settle in until he was at welterweight.

Pff, this is a hard one to pick. Put a gun to my head and I'll go with Dejesus.

I'm pretty confident in the guy with more size, speed, height, chin, and scary power. I think most of you are overthinking this. Duran was a midget who allowed DeJesusto shine.

What was Oscar weighing on fight night when he was scaling 135 at the day-before weigh-in?

That's the thing that makes non-heavyweight fantasy matchups of incredible-shrinking-men weight-drainers who have come along in the age of day-before weigh-ins and IV rehydratoin vs. guys from the days when you fought at right around what you weighed in at so off-kilter.

I think Leonard and Benitez and Duran were all below 150, probably right around 147-148 when they fought each other at welter. Today, the top welters might weigh 160-plus in the ring.

Whole different ballgame. DeJesus is a lightweight and Oscar might have been a junior middle.
