I've actually thought this all along that DeJesus would pose alot of problems for Mayweather, and alot of other all-time lightweight greats.......Broner doesn't deserve to be mentioned, yet.

People fon't know De Jesues, prime for prime at 135 it's clser than most think, for some reason May is seen as unbeatable, but we all know he's like every other fighter very beatable, JLC did it.

DeJesus was a terrific lightweight, and yeah I would suspect that he'd have Broner struggling to make it to the end by the time the middle rounds hit. That being said, I think the 135lb Mayweather probably takes advantage of Estaban's tendency to fade later in fights, and scores a 10th or 11th round stoppage in a fight that would be a ton of fun while it lasted.

Duran could never be overrated to the point that he still isn't a damn good All Time Great. So the credit is well-deserved.

Benitez 0-1, Leonard 1-2 he was lucky to get the win. Not a robbery but a close fight that any other set of judges could have given to Leonard. Hearns 0-1 KTFOed. Hagler 0-1. He won championships at all the weights these losses took place at. He never beat anyone his level or better. Your probbly going to bring up Barkley arn't you? Barkley was a great boxer if his oppoent was Thomah Hearns. Other than that he was a b level boxer at best.

Why would you hold past-prime losses at weights he was far outgunned in against him? Above 147, anything Duran accomplished at the world level was simply over-achieving, considering he started out at 130 and had been fighting professionally for so long.

There's no way you could say Leonard could have taken that fight; Duran was in control long enough to let some gas off the pedal by the last few rounds, and some were close, but never enough to put the victor in doubt. Any arbitrary placement of judges can come up with any decision, but I'm only interested in accurate ones, and all of those would say that Duran took the fight clearly. It had nothing to do with "luck" but craft and intangible greatness. If anything, his decision loss to Hagler could even be called closer than the fight in Montreal. To put it in perspective, that loss is even better than a scenario in which someone like Robert Guerrero goes on to give Sergio Martinez a tough fight; that's almost unthinkable given the circumstances.

Then there's the slew of great fighters he beat besides Leonard at welterweight and lightweight during his long and historic reign as champion. It's not just De Jesus you could yank from Duran's resume to come back and beat fighters in today's divisions' top 5, but a whole series of them. I wouldn't favor De Jesus to beat Floyd, but it's simply ignorant to suggest a fighter with his fundamentals couldn't compete at the world level today.

Danny Garcia is one the same level as Angel Manfredy. Comparing him to Dejesus is a joke.

Mayweather beats De Jesus in a competitive bout. De Jesus puts an L on Broner's record.

I thought Duran is this big bad wrecking machine? Looks like another durable heavy handed high work rate fighter to me.
