Who wins this fantasy match at lightweight, obviously?

I think DeJesus would win a UD after dropping Marquez with the right hook late in the fight. Marquez's ability to fight on the back foot would make this a brilliant action packed fight.

Yes, DeJesus, especially circa '72, '73, was a notch above Marquez IMO.

    Marquez for me.

He has better hand speed and timing plus is a level above when it comes to combinations.

This clearly goes the distance and. Think JMM is better at every range than De Jesus. Probably a 8-4 type affair with every round being close but Marquez landing the eye catching shots.

I kind of feel the same but with DeJesus landing the eye catching shots to edge out the rounds rather as Marquez DeJesus was the better mover, was craftier and more skilled. I remember this thread was done on here before with DeJesus getting the majority of the votes. I still pick DeJesus. He was clearly the better fighter. Marquez could never beat Duran or come anywhere close to it imo

But to be fair, you'd probably be saying the same of DeJesus had he never fought Duran.

The way he fought against a prime Duran gives us an indicator of just how good he was.
