I like Sammy here. He has the style needed to thwart Esteban's greater natural boxing ability. He was extremely strong in the clinches, knew how to hold and hit and rough an opponent up whilst not giving them room to breathe, which is of course how Duran broke him down. He also wasn't bad on the defensive end (he was no Ricky Hatton by any means) which will serve him, as it served Duran, well. He won't be as dominant as Duran was, but he will fight this fight in his office and grind out 8 or 9 rounds of 15 to get the job done.
Bravo to a unique thread topic here...I think Angott could very well have been to clever for DeJesus..shutting him down virtually with his smothering tactics and frustrating him. DeJesus never fought anyone quite like the "Clutch". Angott was a committed defensive spoiler and he had a pretty good way of actually winning fights as well.
