His fighting ability isn't on par with his mouth that's for sure, i thought he fought the wrong fight. He should have tried to time him coming in instead of pressing forward.
He lost to an elite fighting machine. Khabib does not drink, smoke, gamble or partake in various foods. Dude is a master of his craft. Conor McGregor is a really great fighter but he is rusty and all that money has taken away from his dedication to his craft. He is elite and he loss to an elite. Why so many excuses when the big name takes a loss?
He can’t fight off the ground and unfortunately that’s half the game of MMA...... when he was in his best years he had skill in knocking smaller man out before it hit the ground. He was mauled by a bigger man in Diaz who is outside top 10 for his weight
I think he is still a very good fighter but not sure if he could be considered elite level, i think he needs to switch to a new camp, too many yes men around him where he is.
The guy had elite level stand up and "servicable" defence when taken down but no offensive mat skill. But to me he's the kind of guy that made his money and the hunger was gone.
Conor was great at 145 but has not proven it above. I just wish he defend his title at 155 a couple of times against the best so we could see.
H2H he's probably the goat FW. His size and power was just too much for anyone to deal with there. The Khabib fight doesn't really affect my rating of him, it was always going to be a horrible style match up.
