co-sign...if Floyd does 1 million on this than Pac better take the 45 percent and give Floyd the 55..

If they do 1m buys for this fight then Pac should take 30% ... he's not selling the fight ... he has no personality ...

Either way it goes he will make more money than he made against DLH and Hatton combined.

If that's the case, why didn't he and Hatton top 1 Mil in America during decent economic times with much more hype and a much more personable opponent?

I think Floyd/JMM will sell very well but let's not make him some sort of fiscal golden goose.

    Per the LA Times:

"Floyd Mayweather Jr. knew the numbers. His own December 2007 fight with Hatton finished with a reported 925,000 buys. And as Mayweather prepares to return to the ring July 18 for his first fight since a brief retirement, he maintains nothing has happened to let Pacquiao surpass him as the world's top pound-for-pound fighter."

The Scene has an article with it at 825K buys.

    411mania says Floyd/Hatton did 850K.

I'm pretty sure the buys at the 1 mil range are rounding up. Probably 900-950 and people just rounded up.

Are we talking about U.S buys exclusively? Do Floyd's fans really think it's a fair comparison to talking about a U.S. fighter's U.S. PPV buys vs a Filipino fighter's U.S PPV buys? And for that matter, since there's like one TV two 20 pinoys over there, better forget about factoring in Pac's homeland purchases, too.

AND, on top of that, Floyd had 2 distinct advantages in PPV sales for his fight with Hatton anyway:

    1) Both undefeated
    2) Economy not in the shitter

Don't tell me those two items didn't play a role.

Both Pac and JMM are doubly popular now than they were around Pac-JMM II but if they would fight now, PPV sales would barely surpassed the one they did before because of the current financial problem. If Mayweather-Marquez would hit 700K, that would be fair enough.

600k. JMM isnt a big draw...PBF might pull it off with it being his comeback fight and the 24/7 behind it, but with the economy it'll be tough. This fight is 2months away and people arent really too keen on it, 50/50, Hatton-Pac hype was insane, even the daily negotiations was being reported.
