if he fights like he did against Kimweri plus with an added adrenaline because of the 50-0 target he may win by KO/TKO
Oh come on. There may be some truth in this post but don't pretend that a lot of disdain on your end here isn't because a few have remarked(in a mostly tongue and cheek manner) that Mayweathers 50-0 record is potentially being "equalized." in this fight. If you were really that indifferent towards the division you wouldn't bother commenting in this thread.
So what does everyone think? Is Wanheng Menayothin/Kaiyanghada/Chayaphon Moonsri going to make 50-0 tomorrow?
Wow I'm actually rooting for Estrada for once! I can't stand this joke going for 50-0 with out a real Top 5
To be honest, I don't get what's so special about this 50-0 "record" that Floyd holds and Wanheng may soon match. a) In the end it's really about the quality of the wins. Wilder could crush 10 more cans if he wanted to and get to 50-0, but that doesn't make him any greater. To take it to the extreme, I'm no boxer but doubtless I could find some absolute bum to beat 50 times in a row. b) Julio César Chávez got to 87-0 and 89-0-1 before getting beaten. To me that's way more impressive in terms of sheer numbers, the fact that he didn't retire then shouldn't be a significant factor. I don't see why we should encourage boxers who are still at the top to retire - if they want to, that's perfectly fine of course but we shouldn't penalize those who fight on because they enjoy it.
Not much at all. But THAT would be a record actually. No heavyweight, even notorious bumbashers has even made it to 50-0, in a great part due to the nature of heavyweight. Yes, that's why it's a minor record. The 87-0 and 89-0-1 record, and the 103 (I believe) wins in a row are rated way higher by most as the 50-0 "retirement" record. Which isn't even the record at all, only if you don't count draws.
