Jason Estrada and Tony Thompson are slated to go at it in April. Who you got? I think Jason has the skill of a winner and the brain of a loser. (Heavyweight Clottey?) Thompson is a good worker with a big frame. I don't really know what the winner gets in this one. Because I don't see either man playing a significant role in a title fight anytime soon, let alone one that ends in a victory for them. I think it's clear we get a fight that lasts the distance in all likelihood. What do you think? This content is protected This content is protected
That sounds about right to me. Something along the lines of "I worked my ass off for this fight and Teddy Atlas knows ****. I outclassed him and I'd bitchslap Teddy too."
I didn't see his last fight but he did get a knockout over young prospect Chazz Witherspoon. Was that the dismal performance you are referring to?
The Tiger is going to win this. I'd love to see him get another title shot. If he wins against Estrada maybe he can talk himself into an eliminator fight at one of the ABC belts.
This isn't a bad fight and a quality fight for ESPN, they are having a very good year. Thompson is a lower top ten guy while Estrada is top 15ish. I expect it to go the distance and won't have too many fireworks but it should be somewhat competitive. Thompson will probably win a decision though. His height and range will be a bit too much for Estrada.
Estrada can't get over losing to Adamek and is probably very hungry while Thompson showed he was pretty much useless against Klitschko. It should be close.
I expect Thompson to win by decision. Depsite what many say on this site, Thompson is a pretty good HW. He has great size, reach, defense, an awkward style.
