Kamegai actually mixing boxing and brawling fairly effectively, while Soto Karass is just doing the latter. His jab is longer but he isn't able to land it, even when he doubles or triples it.

 

Thought Kamegai took round 7, Ring's twitter seemed to suggest it was a clear JSK round

 

Kamegai baiting Soto Karass with his left arm held low, and nearly gets decapitated with a charge-in overhand right. He rolls with it and comes right back at JSK with a body-head flurry. Kamegai skipping in and out and then kicking into a lateral gallop, tossing jabs into the guard and pendulum underhanded rights into the midsection. Rabbit punch by Soto Karass just before the bell. Kamegai raises both gloves to clutch his aching head while standing in his corner during the break.
