Eubank is the one talking, that's the point. And it's fairly laughable seeing the keyboard warriors traipsing in to scoff and say he's wrong.

Who is calling him a 'genuine ATG'? Is 'not a genuine ATG' supposed to be an insult these days?!

    eubank is the bees knees:twisted:

what's interesting is how respectful he's been of most of his past opponents considering what a ***** he was occasionally during his prime. he gives benn and calzaghe full props but much like george foreman, it seems excessive sometimes

It's got to suck for haters of Calzaghe.

You can point to him cleaning out the generation before his, in Eubank and Ferrera.
You can point to him cleaning out his generation in Reid, Woodhall, Starie and Sheika, Mitchell and Veit
You can point to him cleaning out the generation after his in Bika, Kessler and Lacy.

He finishes his career defeating the undisputed LHW champion and a guy who had enough to go and massacre the undisputed MW champion in his very next fight and cashes out against a ring legend before retiring, never to enter the ring again.

Notice how Pavlik ran his mouth about Calzaghe? Then lost to someone Calzaghe beat?
Notice how Froch ran his mouth against Calzaghe? Then lost to someone Calzaghe beat?

The myth about Calzaghe's punching power is pretty dumb he obviously hits hard.

What generation do you put Eubank in? Obviously the one before his - he was only 32 when Joe beat him by the way, hardly "old"

Reid, Woodhall, Starie, Mitchell, Veit, Sheika - are all close in age to him.

You realise he is nearly 10 years older than Bika, Lacy and Kessler right?

What do you consider a generation? For me, approximately 10 years is about right in boxing.

He KO'd Chris Byrd in the am's.

That being said, he had loads of power when throwing hooks like a brawler with all of his weight behind it. I have never seen him throw a straight punch with any power, but I could be wrong. I am not a Calz hater either, I admire the guy, but never saw him throw a powerful punch that didn't look like he was throwing the discus.

He beat some good fighters from each generation, but he hardly cleaned any generation out that was not his own at 168.

Just sayin...to go into your first title fight with only 1 guy having lasted the distance with you...that kinda indicates that you're a stoppage fighter, if not a power puncher.

And if you look at a few of his KO's, those were not by any means accumulation stoppages...let me find you kids some examples here...
