Nonsense. Collins forced everyone back, including McCallum, Reggie, Eubank, Benn. He out-strengthed Eubank and walked through Benn's right hands. Froch is a scrawny, light and fragile super-middle. He's strong, but Collins was super-strong.

we were discussing froch vs benn but it seems now we can discuss froch vs collins.

froch beats collins no doubt in my mind. 116-112

underating carl again i see on here. froch's resume pisses all over collins for starters. not too mention proven at world level time and time again.

Froch isn't even in the same universe as McCallum, Reggie or Sumbu and Froch had McCallum running away in the last seven rounds as a 16-fight novice, and arguably beat Reggie and Sumbu back-to-back in their backyards for peanuts. This was before he had great successes against Eubank twice, Benn twice and Pyatt. Collins at his best against Froch is a borderline mismatch. The difference in speed, sparring and schooling is vast. He wouldn't miss that sneaky overarm right of his, Collins.

It would be 118-111! If Froch made it that far.

    you mean 116-112 to froch.

froch beats him with the jab.

just to reply about froch's superior strength. i would only say eubank was strong at supermiddleweight. the others had decent strength but nowhere near froch's, thats one of froch's main ingredients hes barely scrawny he's just ripped and solid, he has also much longer reach then collins, and can boxing calmy when needs too, his jolting jabs would land more than collins sneaky rights that were a better close in. collins just wants to set a blistering pace all the time, that dont work when you cant knock a guy out, and who has just as much stamina as you.
he had a close fight with mccallum who obviously is an atg, but still lost, he didnt really win .
froch is proven in bigger fights, he has boxed at a higher level, and hes not feasting on washed up fighters to build up his resume like collins did.

McCallum and Kalambay were better than Ward and Reggie was better than Dirrell. Collins was stronger than Eubank and stronger than Froch.

ye and froch wins, collins doesnt. also your putting decent defensive fighters in the mix that would beat froch, eubanks box clever beats carl.

carl beats collins just with his jab, i can actually see froch putting on a clinic and thats no lie, winning most of the fight snapping collins head back with a solid thudding jab. froch is better than a washed up eubanks and benn.
froch is as awkard to hit as collins, neither of them are hard to find, but froch reach and right hand coming from below would have collins in allsorts of trouble, benn had collins dazed. eubanks wasnt half the fighter he was when in fought collins and really couldnt finish the job at that point anyway. froch is a harder puncher with more range and more awkward, collins is slightly quicker and fitter, that dont win you fights. jean pascal as an example is a strong fighter, kessler is aswell, ward is very strong also, old man glenn johnson all capable of moving between smw and lhw. where as the fighters collins were middleweights moving up eubanks, benn, kalambay, and mcallum was a lmw moving up. you can easily say collins was stronger when he is bullying smaller guys. and the fact he lost the fights in america just says to me he was always short of top class, against past prime fighters like mcallum and kalambay.

Oh dear, sorry kid but how much of Collins have you really seen? He could move side-to-side and cover the ring very effectively, he could attack from awkward angles, he could hold the centre of the ring and use quick reflexes to counter, and he would time his bursts: pull back and launch. You're not going to beat him with just a jab!!!

Nigel Benn was a much more naturally powerful puncher than Carl with infinite better leverages.

Eubank had fought 15 times at super-middleweight and struggled to make 190 in his last fight! He was obviously a full super-middleweight! The guy would leap in at 13st torn up with dense muscle tissue coming out of his ears.

Froch beats Eubank by UD. Benn by TKO or RTD (since Benn had a glass heart and quit like a ***** when the going got tough).

Collins it would be close, but Froch takes it by 2 or 3 rounds.

Wow....! Some guy just posted that Benn had a glass heart! How could that be the case after the life or death war with Mclellan! Still to this day the most brutal boxing match of the last 25yrs. Benn never quit through lack of heart, his body basically failed him. Whether Froch would live with the likes of Benn, Collins or Eubanks, I believe he makes a tough fight for any of them. Bare in mind that Froch is yet to be stopped in a fight so would likely be a live opponent and therefore dangerous for the full 12 rounds with anybody.

i have seen the mcallum, eubanks and benn fights might need to see more, but i dont see how he would beat carl and i dont see a huge man who bullied everyone around the ring, only smaller guys. i said eubanks was strong i know he was, benn aint physically that strong he just a huge puncher (difference) and nor are the other middleweights collins beat up. not supermiddleweight strong. if your basing collins on talent alone, then he wouldnt beat carl. and it wouldnt be a mismatch and you think carl would barely survive :-( that is sad. also i believe groves is a harder puncher than collins anyway. carl knows his distance as good as anyone, he just gets beaten by quicker slicker defensive sound fighters with movement. i guess collins is like ward, with the strength of marciano and the stamina of pryor now.
Collins is the best smw ever the way your going on.

Any boxer who has a RTD on their record, unless it's the corner's decision (if so then fair enough, if they throw in the towel or decide to quit for the fighter's health that's no knock on the fighter), has issues with heart and courage.

Only bitches quit on the stool when the going gets tough.
