If you think Froch could take punishment, this guy defined leading with the face and coming back violently.

The guy who knocked Tommy Hearns spark out and gave lb4lb #1 Nunn the fight of his life, lose to Carl Froch??

well he got smashed up by hearns for quite a while, and lets atleast admit hearns punch resistance isnt very good, and hes not a natural middleweight and slightly past it. he wouldnt get froch out of there like he did hearns and he would been tko'd like groves in the 8th but not by a huge punch just a big flurry after getting worked into the ropes. your using bad examples of fighters doing well but losing, think again before you put more names in the hat.

Barkley boxed very well against Duran from a distance. He was senior World Championship 165lb Bronze Medalist was Iran (so was Froch!!). The guy could box a bit.

ye he may been able to box a bit, but just because there were better fighters in the 80s and 90s doesnt mean he'd beat froch, froch would do okay in the 90s era, be top 10-15 smw but styles make fights. and froch gets outboxed by speedy defensive fighters not head first fighters like barkley as you put it.
thats the reason i pick froch ahead hes achieved more, in a weak era. but success breeds success. once barkley beat hearns he went onto get beaten by maske, toney and a few others. hes too inconsitenent and inconsitency aint the good when your putting people h2h/

Wrong! The only one speaking sense here is Bulldog24. Lepinthehood doesn't know enough about Steve Collins and he doesn't realise the talent pool back then was 20 times wider than it is today.

The whole top 20 at middleweight in the early 90s would be undisputed champion today (and most went to super-middle).

    Nunn
    McCallum
    Eubank
    Julian
    Kalambay
    Benn
    Graham
    Watson
    Collins
    Barkley
    Reggie
    Toney
    McClellan
    Hopkins
    Jones Jr
    Duran
    DeWitt
    Parks
    JD Jackson
    Castro

And at super-middle you had Lindell Holmes, Thomas Hearns, Frank Tate, Tim Littles, Frank Liles, Tony Thornton, and Graciano Rocchigiani all waiting for them.
