Putting it mildly, that's for sure. Eddie is probably having nightmares about that already.

You have your finger on the pulse of how they work it seems. Plus that porposed date of August 27 does not seem like enough time for either party, particularly GGG to have a full training camp.

I do my best. :good As far as I'm aware, no date has been formally agreed on. Late September / early October was being mentioned by some as a possible date, which would seem more realistic.

That makes more sense. The initial August 27 date had to get pushed back. I remain curious: At what point will team Golovkin walk away from Sr obstinate negotiating tactics? It is already looking less and less likely GGG will get two more fights in this year like he intended.

CEJ trains 7 days a week, you can bet he will be ready and in tip top shape, If the old boy needs more time too bad, Kell Brook has that early October date so that must be accommodated for.

GGG reckons anytime, anywhere, anyone 154-168, but he's the true bluffer and wont fight Canelo @ 155 or Ward @ 168.

CEJ will take those belts and GGG's lunch money and then take over 168

Fighters do not train 7 days per week not even when in camp, unless you count light rope skipping or some shadow boxing on off days. A year round training schedule like that burns anyone out quick. Periodization and cycling of intensities is how modern athletes train.

This 7 day a week thing is a fallacy.

Can a ask a serious question??
If the GGG-'CEJ fight comes off & CEJ does his best but gets brutally KO'd
Which guy gets the respect & boost to his career CEJ for having the cojones to fight GGG or Canelo & Cotto for cowardly ducking him???

I have to say with honesty I think Canelo and Cotto are better off without the loss.

Getting brutally KO'd is bad for your career full stop I don't care who its against. CEJ will only be better off with a win or a very closely fought loss. A hiding like Murray and Lemieux received will not be a boost for sure.

Can I ask a serious question??

What does GGG have to do to actually earn more respect or boost his career according to the majority of this forum?

IMO he has so much respect here as we stand the only way he could be boosted any higher would be to beat the Ward vs Kovalev winner or win a Cruiserweight or Heavyweight strap? GGG has already unified the 160-168 divisions in fantasy match ups so the only way to go to a higher pedestal would be winning mega fights @ 175 or getting straps at 200lbs or heavyweight.

What are your honest thoughts? I am not trolling, I am being dead serious?
GGG is simply on that high of a pedestal here.

Anyone knows that Golovkin is the best middleweight in the world today, by far!!! Alvarez gave up his title rather than fight him, Jacobs refused to fight him, Saunders refused, so did Quillin..........

    Golovkin will knock Eubank out!!!

So assuming this gets made and GGG takes out CEJ as expected, where would you chaps rank Eubank Jr in terms of Golovkin's past opponents?

The majority of the forum? I think the majority opinion is that Golovkin is probably the best Middleweight in the world. It doesn't really go much beyond that.

I think you may be addressing your post to one of the forum's minorities - ie. die hard Golovkin fans, of which there are actually relatively few, and who are balanced by a roughly equal number of guys telling us that Golovkin ain't ****.

We love when top fighters are put into the danger zone of boxing. No boxer has had cakewalks his whole career. At some point you will meet a Frazier, Duran, or even Salido. We have not seen GG in that fight so the jury is out on him with true boxing fans. His daily ****riders are just happy with who ever he beats. Most fans see it as inferior opposition. And it is IMO. We want to see him with a live dog who is more than capable of winning. That's all.
