I don't think he is deluded, he knows the truth and it's all just lip service. He will collect a cheque and be happy. He had never really shown much interest in competing at the highest level since Groves.
I find him a bit frustrating tbh. He can fight, he could do a bit more, but I also kind of understand him treating boxing as prizefighting , rather than chasing greatness. And if people are willing to pay him big bucks for fighting ham n eggers, then who can blame him?
He’s a very smart fighter, makes a lot of money to fight once every 18 months at best whilst taking minimum damage. Very frustrating for his fans who will never see his full potential. I was at groves v Eubank and was loving groves winning that but Eubank grew on me since.
He has been extremely careful with who he fights. He has made good money mainly facing fighters who aren’t elite level. And has turned down GGG and Canelo multiple times as he knew he would have been obliterated by them. He has had a great career for sure, but isn’t a great fighter.
He is a good business man but I would have liked to have seen much more from him He should have at least capitalised on the Liam Smith win last year
He's had a decent career, very good money wise, but no where near great. He talks well, always has, I give him that.
He's good to a degree. Deserves props for actually testing himself Vs the likes of Saunders and groves, a hell of a lot more than the other sons of big names will ever do
