Everything thinks chris eubanks jr is a golovkin the way they talk about his power atschatsch i think hes only really put 2 of his opponents down hard and out with a loaded uppercuts that everyone can see coming let alone BJS a european champion, if eubanks jr thinks he can fight in spurts and try loading up those shots rather than box, his head will be like a bit steak tartar by the end off it.
yeah they really do think he hits like GGG don't they lol, deluded atsch yeah you are not wrong pal BJS has got too much of a high ring IQ to fall for that sort of tactic.
On paper it should be all Billy Jo, but the mere fact Eubank Snr has "allowed" it makes me think Jnr has this one won. Let's not forget that Snr was probably the greatest boxer in the world when it came to knowing who he could and couldn't beat. I doubt he's lost that skill. People are right that Eubank Jnr has only fought bums but he's spent the best part of his career being managed by Mick Hennessey. He doesn't have the relationships to provide Eubank with the opposition he needs to start winning over boxing fans. I have no doubt Eubank sparring would be better TV than some of his fights. Point I'm making is I don't think it's a case of Eubank being protected, he's just been let down. The lack of proper opposition could bite him in the arse, but you only have to look at DeGale and to a lesser extent Froch (big Mick got Pascal and Super 6) to see leaving Fat Mick brings better opposition and more plaudits.
I think you're overestimating Seniors judgement about picking opponents. You practically say yourself that he picked the wrong promoter. I think Eubank senior overestimates his own judgement and has made a mistake here.
I think there's right and wrong in both our arguments here. One thing you can't deny is that Channel 5 gives you a "casual" audience. The trade off is the quality of opponent. Channel 5 does good numbers and anecdotally my "casual" boxing mates know about Chris Eubank Jnr, they know virtually nothing about BJS and even someone like Callum Smith who I think most boxing fans would agree is one of our hottest prospects. In that respect, Mick is a good option. I don't think it's ridiculous to say that Eubank Jnr (who was a huge beneficiary of terrestrial exposure) might have calculated that looking good in front of uneducated masses might be a good shout.
Agreed completely. As an aside, rather bizarrely, yesterday I stopped for petrol in a garage here in Ireland, and they were selling second hand books. Spotted and couldn't refuse a hardback copy of Chris seniors autobiography for 2....it still had the original price sticker of 24.99 on it so I reckon it's good value at two quid! Just read the first part, and in it he doesn't mention Chris as having any potential to be a boxer at all. (This was written in 2003 to be fair). Dad reckoned at that stage, his other son, whose name I forget, was the one who might have a boxing career in him, not Chris jr! :good
Billy Joe Saunders is gonna school Eubank 100% no doubts about it. Eubank is still a novice, he has no chance. Billy Joe Saunders is the only middleweight that can be problematic for Golovkin. Saunders turned down a title shot for this fight. Hes gonna do some serious damage to Eubank. BJS is a smooth operator [yt]JMMKSa8DBME[/yt]
getting a bit fed up reading all the "hes fought nobodies" "he is a novice" "hes not in his class" lines , does every fighter not have to go through the "step-up" barrier at some point in there career , all fighters get tainted with these comments when they are 10-0 , 12-0 , 15-0 until they fight somebody of note , and this is eubank,s chance to step up to the plate . some of the greatest fighters out there at the moment had all this smack talked about them at some point . give the guy a break , he is taking on a very tough opponent in BJS and on paper it looks a terrific fight and if eubank was to win he could be whole lot of fun for UK fans in the future . i say good luck to the fella .
Good post. In fact, if he really is not ready for BJS as some seem to think, why not massive props to Eubank Jr for taking this fight in the first place! Personally? I see it the way you do... I think this is Jr's breakthrough fight and I don't expect to see Saunders breeze through Jr anymore than I would have expected to see him breeze through Senior. It'll be a tough fight whatever the outcome as both these guys down the road are conceivably world champion material.
The Snr thing has got me thinking too. He just wouldn't let his son get in the ring with BJS unless he was fully confident he was ready and could get the win. My head says BJS, but I'm going to put a few quid on Eubank to get a win.
another one you got right there Cupid Stunt :rofl:rofl:rofl Sad *******, you are the saddest little P*** runt Ive ever come across Here's to another year of your life wasted trolling under alts on boxing forums CHEERS :good :hi:
funny how all these eubank v BJS threads are being bumped up now , i guess some of the posters are just back off a ban or something . i notice a lot of the latest posts are all "i told you so's" which is always a bit pathetic , so you predicted the winner in a 50/50 fight , big wow . when you start predicting winners that are 10/1 to win the fight then i might start taking notice .
