First thing i see is poor footwork, jumping back in straight line with feet together and squaring up as he circles.

The guy he's facing is very upright, high gloves and offering/offered no attack in that first round.

The silly staring across ring at opponent who's got back to him is embarrassing. DeGale's said that he sent a message to him saying keep being arrogant and we can have a massive fight in a few years time. Kid's in another world...

 

Noticed the footwork as well, really needs work if he wants to fight that style.

I'm shocked at how he plods in, maybe he knows this lads a no hoper and just crusing but strange you'd expect a bit better footwork.

Those speculative shots at range still aren't landing, tends to load them up a bit.

 

He throws some nice combo's but seriously we cant learn much from this fight. It's way too early as well.

 

It was a correct stoppage but Eubank really doesn't have much power. He was landing flush power shots and they were bouncing off the guys head. Not good for the long term.

 

Not knocking the lad I think he has potential, hes been macthed hard and had a short (i think?) amateur career. I think if he keeps very active then he could win a British or Commonwealth title in 2014.

 

pointless fight that...only thing he will get from it is fighting abroad as a pro..but even then he's been abroad plenty prior to going pro

I like the way he throws punches from different angles, nice leverage on his body punches and lovely uppercut. Changed levels well but before that in this round he just plodded around, throwing wild punches.

I'd put him in a Area title fight, something worth while yet not to testing. He's a long, LONG way from the other British prospects that he aligns himself with.

 

Yeah I agree. He's too good for the likes of tonights opponent.

I thought his footwork was ok considering he was wearing concrete boots and has wooden knees.

 

He moves like his old man should move after a long career.
