I have seen things like that happen before and I often wonder if it is done to suit. I recall how Kessler beat Froch, yet after Froch beat Abraham, the Ring had Froch ahead of Kessler. I was never a fan of Saunders but have to say that he really deserves alot of credit in facing so many undefeated opponents and taking fights he didnt have to. Wish him luck
Boxrec estimates average quality of opponents they faced and type of wins (KO/ UD/MD/SD). SD loss by Eubank costed him about 20% of his points, but he was still above Saunders.
Well to be fair to the algorithm boxrec uses, since that fight, all Billy Joe has done has beaten a guy with a 17-27 record. (Thats right, 17 wins, 27 losses) Eubank has beaten a well ranked fighter in Chudinov, and that guy Jeter, who while pretty terrible, is still better than the guy Saunders fought.
