Eubank Jr may be set to replace Groves in the WBSS final

Whoa, what a slap would that be for Grooves.

 

It wouldn't be right for anybody else to step in really , but the final no longer means anything now if Groves is out.

 

If that happens that would certainly make the SMW final a joke.
Big dropoff in quality at least, but the guy that was schooled in his last fight having a chance to win the whole thing really devaluates the tourney.

Eubank Jr was absolutely BTFO by Groves. Only his youth and lack of miles on the clock stopped him from getting stopped.

So this is a call out the Kalle the Coke Meister. Make it happen. We need to see Groves in the final.

If Groves is being pulled out due to an injury, which can be the only reason I would accept, then it needs to be a world class replacement. Eubank Jr has been exposed twice by BJS and Groves as not being world class and very basic.

 

Yeah, Jr should not be "automatically" in the final. Make a Loser's bracket. Have them all tourney it out, then face Smith. Would be less of a mockery at least.

 

Might not be a bad thing for Groves. WBSS would be rendered worthless while he could set up a decent money unification with Degale who he'd almost certainly beat.

I agree Jnr would have a good chance against Smith. Neither fighter has any variety and Jnr has the engine to wear out Smith.

Complete bull****, the alternates should only be for first and second rounds. Groves earned the big payday that winning the whole thing is suppose to offer, complete bs if the guy he just beat convincingly gets the shot at that money. IMO they would be stupid to replace the finals participants, as it would likely detour other big names from entering this competition. Injuries happen, but if you make the championship round the dates should be pushed back until all fighters can go. They can't be replacing the finalists.

 

Bring in Uzcategui and let him destroy the can Smith who is overrated af
