Lol so Sky advertised Eubank in a PPV trailer when he’s not even signed for the show...

Pretty sure that’s false advertisement.

 

PPV... are there any Saturday Night Fights anymore? Once upon a time you used to get a British title fight headlining a card every other week and they were absolute burn-barners.

Think back to the days of Gary Sykes, Derry Matthews, Kevin Mitchell.

Whyte v Parker is a decent fight, it really is. But we used to get 'decent' fights as part of our regular subscription. Pfft.

 

Class wasn't it. Fights like Jamie Moore v Ryan Rhodes and other crackers. Admittedly we would sometimes get a dud (Smith vs Quigley comes to mind) but it was free and a good watch on a Friday / Saturday night.

 

It's not free, your funding it through your Sky Sports Subscription.Stop falling for the Hearn talk. As if you're somehow privallaged to get good Boxing Fights on a Saturday Night on Sky Sports. It's not a privilege, it should be expected as part of your subscription to the service

I'm pretty sure also Sky advertise Anthony Joshua under Sky Sports. When knowing full well, his fights are only available on Sky Sports Box Office. Meaning you have to pay a extra £20 for the privallage of watching Anthony Joshua Fight.

 

Agreed! We had some top stuff on sky at least 1 or 2 fridays a month, Colin lynes always comes to mind. And even the prize fighter was fun with the heavyweights when rogan won. I even had the free prizefighter t shirt that they gave away on this website at the time, took about a month to arrive though.

Definitely room in the market and on sky for ‘Friday night fights’ at York hall once a month with a British title fight topping the bill, it’s a great venue aswell. Maybe they are happy with what they’ve got

That is desperate when my old man was alive We had a Mondeo each .We never just shared one !

 

Eddie is a good enough promoter to have sold this as a stand alone PPV (which it’s not). He’s dropped a bollock by promising a stacked card and it’s blew up in his face. Only positives I can pull from it is that it is a good fight! And that the show does go on whereas some of Franks over the past few months have been pulled.
