I diasgree with his punch form, in as much as it was tiredness causing him to lose form with his shots, and thats a worry. He was VERY tired in a 6 round fight against a very limited opponent who's workrate wasnt Calzaghe like.

His biggest problem, as you say, is his chin hanging out to dry, especially as he jabs, and add that to his tiredness, I think he's going to be on the end of a highlight reel KO sooner rather than later.
Unless he has his fathers iron chin of course.

Oh yeah, the epic Eubank stamina curse, the one which stopped Eubank Sr from ever achieving anything of note... if only his stamina was better he might of actually won something...

I wondered why Jr didn't throw a single right hand worth mentioning. If he was injured then it explains a few things. I'm no boxer, but in any any sport if you are 50% impaired then it effects your whole rhythm. The fact that he was able to come in, adjust to the situation without any experience to rely on and still pull out a convincing win is encouraging.

I still want to see him progress and I reckon ApatheticLeader is being premature; one bad fight whilst injured is not a good indicator of overall potential, plus it's a bit rich to complain that a 2-fight novice still has technical issues to sort out. What else can we expect at this stage of his career?

  6. Hes nothing special, good luck to him though..

Believe me, it wasn't just Eubank's lack of stamina that led him to the cowardly route of being a long time WBO champ when the WBO were even more worthless than now. If he had to fight half-decent opposition on a semi-regular basis, he'd have lost several times.

For a lot of the crap he does to be sorted out in his amateur career. People make it sound like it's easily fixed. Newsflash: It isn't.

There is no subtext. The thread is about Eubank Jr and his worthlessness. It is completely and totally independent from Sr's cowardice and overration.

Newsflash: it can be done. And, despite your protestations, you are obviously biased because of your opinion of the boy's father.

What brings you to that utterly incorrect opinion? You have no real basis for it.
