Did Korobov miss even once with any of the southpaw backhands he uncorked? This content is protected Afterwards, however, his (Eubank Jr.) comments raised eyebrows, as he blamed karma for Korobov being forced out. "I feel like I was just about to get my swagger on," he said in the ring. "I hit him with a shot, and he turned around and stopped. "I was about to go at him, but the referee told us to stop. I guess something happened with his shoulder, I don’t know. "There’s nothing to take from the fight, I threw like three or four punches. I was just warming up. "Karma is a real thing, whatever he’s done, I don’t know, there’s a reason whatever happened happened.'' Korobov is one of the nicest guys in the sport, a class act in and out of the ring, and he's been plagued by terrible luck throughout his career and has never once displayed an ounce of quit or done anything for others to question his character or the validity of the injury. If he says he's injured he's injured and those scumbags booing him were a disgrace to all the good, morally decent and righteous scumbags across the world
I think Golovkin is avoiding the best at 160 to get another shot at Canelo, against the younger fighters even if he wins I think he'll look bad doing it and take a lot of punishment. The Derev fight was I think the beginning of the decline to the back side of the mountain. And I did think Gennady was hurt in parts of that fight.
Be realistic. Eubank is one of the toughest fighters of this generation. Golovkin wouldn’t get close to knocking him out. This fight could go either way but there won’t be any knockouts or any knockdowns for that matter. They are both far too tough for that. Whoever wins would probably win by a very close split Decision
GGG is old as dust now. Eubank might start off on the back foot but once that jab is rocking his head back, Eubank will revert to his old style and get the better of the fight later on. Prime GGG or slightly past prime GGG smashes him but the guy is 40 and slowing down all the time. He might even turn up shot.
Eubank doesn't have many boxing skills, let alone a decent jab. He relies an athleticism and insane output and stamina to get through fights. There's nothing he has that will worry GGG. If a low boxing IQ Liam Williams could win rounds and put Eubank on the back foot for the majority of their fight then even a faded GGG can bring much more pressure and intensity.
GGG is far better at landing shots than Eubank and far better at finishing than anyone Eubank has faced.
AS someone else said if Liam Williams can land a jab straight right then so can GGG. The difference is he might only need 1. Where Williams (who has moved up from a lower weight) and with Eubank moving so much Williams punches didn't have the steam on them to really hurt Eubank Age V Youth is the battle here but Eubank was very inaccurate of the back foot through the mid and late rounds and he isn't knocking GGG down with a jab. If GGG stops Murata and looks OK doing it then he bodies Eubank and it's not close. If it goes to the cards and its close then Eubanks youth might get him through the fight but it's a huge step from Williams to GGG. One is world class and should be 1-1 or even 2-0 VS Alvarez with good wins over the likes of Danny Jacobs, Murray, Macklin etc.. the others best win might be an aging Arthur Abraham.
