Styles make fights and I can see this one being a really good brawl while it lasts. I don't think jr hits as hard as golovkin so Jacobs would be happy to let his hands go a lot more. I could see some really good hard exchanges between these two, reminds a bit of when froch fought pascal. Who else would like to see this one?
I wasnt aware that CEJ had any intention of fighting anyone with a pulse. That would count out Jacobs as a possible opponent.
Eubank had his chance to fight Jacobs for the title and ran when he was his mandatory. Nothing else to say really.
Jacobs isn't bigger and definitely isn't faster than Jr. Lets hope those bookies were right and Jr does fight Jacobs. Jr needs just 1 fight to shut a lot of the haters up and spanking Jacobs after he schooled GGG would make CEJ a p4p fighter
Keep dreaming. Eubank just went life and death with some no-mark IBO 'champion'. CEJ is currently nowhere near Jacobs level and it would be embarrassing.
I like CEJ but all we ever seem to hear is that he would do this and he would do that. Since his one fight against a world level opponent over two years ago (a loss, albeit one in which he acquitted himself well with less experience), the guy's level of opposition has fallen through the floor. Then we had the farce of putting him on PPV for a bogus belt against an opponent who would be barely British level over here. CEJ was the mandatory for Jacobs a year or so ago and could have had the fight if he had wanted it. My hunch is that he is going to be used as a cash cow and won't be put anywhere near anyone who is a threat to beat him, which is a shame as the kid can actually fight.
CEJ could have fought Jacobs for that belt but the risk wasn't worth the reward, the WBA Regular title is just a glorified no1 contender, Jr wasn't quite ready for it at that stage and that's why he chose the Spike fight. Its been 18 months basically since and Jr has gone from strength to strength and Jacobs is at an all time high in his career at the moment he is the peoples unified champ! CEJ is ready and Jacobs is one of the premier fighters on the planet now.
I don't think Jr has got much interest in fighting ranked fighters like Jacobs. Pretty sure his game-plan for the foreseeable future is to call out champions while fighting Renold Quinlans.
If Eubank has a chin, he could trouble both of these fighters last night. The problem is that we have only seen him in one live fight with BJ. This fight came too early in his career but he still put in a very good performance in his only loss.
Cej will do what exactly what his dad tells him, and by funny coincidence exactly what his dad did, fight nobody who is a risk until he absolutely has to... then he will lose ... just like his daddy
