Okay, let me try to clear this up. I too, see flaws that need to be worked on. However, I see no more flaws than any other fighter with 3 fights under their belt. What I also see is some very good things that few fighters possess after three fights, hence what I conclude is that there is good potential there, if he is managed/developed correctly, which I think that he pretty well is. I will leave further judgement until he has had 20 or so fights, as that is generally the time when a truer reflection on ones ability is presented to us.
He doesnt seem to have much mustard on those shots, unless he starts pushing into punches fighters will continue to walk though him and as for his defence he is going to need to learn how to clinch on the inside and work out of it Although that being said he shows he does have very fast hands and puts together a lot of crisp combinations Its not as if he CANT punch, its just hes not willing to. its a classic case of transitioning from the amateurs to the pro's, two completely different sports. In amateur boxing you have to land the most correct punches and there are no extra points awarded for knockdowns, In the Professionals its even more subjective and you cant afford to be making the same mistakes as before I believe with some good tutoring that Jr can make it to british level but for the time being I dont see him doing too well. He was hurt in this fight, was getting hit too often and still makes stupid mistakes, sadly to say he is a knockout waiting to happen until he wisens up his defence and starts punching effectively and economically
this dude couldnt punch a hole in a wet paper bag..... instead of trying to clone his dads mannerisms for marketing purposes he need to hit the dumb bells and bench press and work on putting all his weight behind his punches..... its only 3 fights but all id say for now is potential
Well that's fair enough. You must realise though, he is in a position to be judged, he is on terrestrial television, and he is himself putting himself in a position to be criticised...basically by acting like his father. In turn, the comparisons with his father will begin, and have already started happening, which is unfair on him...but it is partly his fault also. Like I said, I don't see anything special about him at the minute, he has good speed, and good variety...he has many a flaw. But again, he is only young and inexperienced.
He wings his punches too much and finds himself off balance in doing so. I like him though and there are many positives to his game, unlike the majority I see him going places.
No power at all, his defence is sloppy as hell, his balance is all over the place (especially why he misses after over committing). IF he is going anywhere he needs to get with a solid trainer, other wise he's not going to reach European level. Funny both Ramirez and Theran are younger and I fancy both to go on to MUCH better careers.
he is decent but he isnt the best british prospect we have i expect Billy Joe Saunders to beat him if they beat and Dignum and Bugioloni have the beating of him too.
I like his handspeed, his dad went bankrupt a few years back, so he might need the money, he has to be guided right.
what a ***** because dumbell curls and bench press make u punch harder what a spastic uve embarased yourself you complete ****
