I'm excited about Jnr i suspect he's going to make a big splash in boxing. Eubank Snr has made him work for the right to go pro. Sparring with the lieks of Groves and Cleverley as well as going out to train with Mayweather as well as sparring in America. He also broke Cleverleys ribs in sparring. I expect big things from him. For now he shoudl just stay busy build his experience and maybe in afew years he'll be a genuine contender. As=lso agree with Modestbiggles that video was awesome
terrestrial tv makes a big difference. it should make a huge difference in sponsorship money but none of these guys ever seem to really embrace sponsorship and give them shout outs like they should.
^That makes sense, I thought it was a bit weird there wasnt a massive fanfair with him signing for Mick.
I can see the merits to both Matchroom and Mick but I think the draw of terrestrial tv will be too much.
True, The problem with Mick is you sign to him and he doesn't deliver nor does he seem professional according to Froch Eddie is a damn sight more organised. If i was a young fighter turning pro i'd head to Matchroom. That terrestrial tv that he has could go rather quickly which is sad i do actually like Mick. I was told he never recovered after his mum passed away. Hit him extremely hard and i think it showed for a long while.
Eddie is the future of British boxing the way he is going that cant be doubted but due to him having the name Eubank he is never gonna be short of a promotional deal. A major problem I see with Mick and Channel5 is what happens if Fury loses? The problem with highlighting one fighter to an audience.
By the way...Chris snr will make sure he does the right things. The kid will have been made to learn and work hard. Under his dad he will succeed. Bank it
People are constantly rattling on bout Eddie Hearn being the future. Why? He hasn't really done anything yet. Fair play to him for prizefighter which seems to be a huge commercial success but as regards promoting someone what's he done? Landed barker and mccloskey world title shots but is it good to get you're fighter a shot he has little to no chance of winning? Froch was already in the super 6 and I don't think his profiles raised any since going to matchroom. People are annointing him the saviour far too fast imo. All he's shown so far is a good ability to snap up fighters. Let's see what he actually does with them now
Tommy what are you saying: Eddie didn't protect McCloskey and Barker enough? :huh Thats what it sounds like. He got them the best fights they could have possibly had in their division. Pretty faultless if you ask me.
:rofl So what should he have done? Got his fighters some **** fight like ****** usually does? He got Barker a shot at the best fighter in the world add to that his biggest payday by 600% yes I agree what has he done in the short time he has been on the scene. :rofl
