So the idiot Eubank Sr. pulls out of his contract with one fight to go.I would think that if Eddie wanted to force the issue ,Eubank still owes him one fight.
Eddie should let the morons walk and lets see how Eubank gets on without the coverage of Sky.Sounds like they want to hook up with Haymon as Chris has burned all the bridges it would seem in the UK.

It was in the contract that if they lost the purse bid he could walk away.

Hearn confirmed on twitter that the purse bid lost gave the eubanks an option to count it as one of the three fights which they have. Must have been a term in the contract.

What a waste of time that was, 3 fight deal one of which was the Jeter debacle and one won't happen.

Another flop of a Matchroom "big name signing". Throw him on the heap with Burns and Saunders.

I had no idea this was part of the Matchroom contract.Still,I think it is a massive mistake for Eubank to jump ship.Sky is the engine that drives the sport and Eddie has an exclusive with them.

Makes little sense to leave Sky/Matchroom as Frank doesn't like the setup and Mick isn't too keen either.

Interesting that there was a clause in the contact that allowed for termination due to losing purse bids- I wonder if this is standard practice for Matchroom?

Mick outbid Hearn by £55k (£260k). Is that good money for this level of fight?

How can any promoter trust these guys anymore. They should take a leaf out of Furys book who can be slated for a few things but hats off for his loyalty....

So if Hearn had won the bid say 261k what would be the issue?

It's still the second highest bid for a British title fight, and this fight is no degale vs groves not even close
