Calzaghe would've demolished Benn. Early stoppage for Sugar Joe.

That's Slappy Joe or Cokey Joe but never, EVER Sugar Joe.

Benn would have ruined Calzaghe in 6 rounds easy.

I have to agree, however good Joe was Benn was just something else, he could throw bombs after bombs, would rough you up bad and take everything you threw at him and give it back to you twice as bad. Calzaghe just throws in volumes

Sugar Joe's resume speaks for itself. He was a devastating power puncher in his prime. He would shabam Benn back to Africa in no more than 3 rounds.:deal

Ben had a good chin, he could take a punch as evidenced by the fight's against Eubank, McClellan, and Iran Barkley. But it seemed like the times he got stopped the punches were good shot's but weren't real hard. Like when he got KO'ed against Michael Watson. And imo Benn would smash Calzaghe's chin. Benn could box and bang at supermiddle, unlike Jeff Lacy.

  12. u gotta b gay m8 . calling him sugar . fantasizing bout him beating benn. tht gay avatar u got .
Benn wud have annihilated Calzaghe more like it u **** .

joe a good fighter who fought no one in there prime an the word devastating will never be used to describe him only ? on what could have been a much more complete resume there is no doubt he finished undefeated but there are much more doubters than supporters an that is sad cuz he could have erased a lot of it by facing tarver, dawson, jones or hopkins a few years earlier on the subject of nigel benn the dark destroyer in his prime would devestated joe

  14. Prime Benn would actually TKO Calzaghe , this is becasue Joe had a good chin but would almost certainly be dropped by the biggest puncher he would ever face in Benn , after the first knockdown Benn would jump straight back on drop him 1 or 2 more times and the ref would jump in and stop the fight , guarentee thats how it play out , Joe wouldnt be given the chance to prove himself it would be over fast.

huge fan of benn back in the day...but he was much much better at 160. his power didn't actually carry that well & he was very small at the weight.

i woudn't pick him over calzaghe at 168.
