I've met him a couple of times over the years (live in Brighton area). Nice guy, but I found him a bit much in fight week recently. Banging on about how he's struggled with the whole TV deal with ITV and about how all fighters should look him up to 'partake of his wisdom' and suck werthers orginals while sitting around his feet. Every interview was hijacked with his own self-indulgence. SHut the hell up English!
I think you got the wrong end of this post, he is saying Eubank admitted he was beat fair and square. There were a lot of dirty tricks played by Collins and his team in the build up to the fight. I thought at the time Collins treatment of Eubanks was disgraceful.
It was all mind games similar to what he did to other opponents like benn the refusal to acknowledge him in the press conference which pissed benn off and helped Eubank win the fight
Me too. I think he's a national treasure. A genuine eccentric, larger than life, achieved a lot in his life. Yes he's often doing or saying something faintly ridiculous, but so what, the world would be a duller place without him.
If he wont have a go i will and ill say .a.word.with.ev.ery.punch.like.this.is.for.your.hearn.love.in.you.match.room.ball./bag
I bumped into him near Baker Street a few years ago and he was a nice guy. Chatted to me and my friend and was a gent.
How do you even come up with this? I'm a boxing fan I couldn't care less about promoters they are unfortunately a necessary evil
Eubank is a nice guy, I bumped into him on Oxford street about 10 years ago, and he was very nice and friendly and spent a few minutes having a chat with me.
