Sherry gave some good names rounds tho. Not like everyone blew him away. Ray close was also good with what i can remember also. Benn ended up with the better resume and more entertaining fighter. But eubanks showed in their three fights he was the better fighter. Eubanks did avoid people. But wouldnt be right saying he was overrated. It was just that the standard at the time was incredibly high. That was my point above watch groves v froch then watch benn v eubanks. It ll show you the difference. Nowadays groves american rival would be badou jack back then it was roy jones or mcallum or toney for example. Quite a difference
I do hear what you are saying in regards to some of the lack of quality opponents but to say he was overrated is crazy. He could fight, teak tough, iron chin, heart. When his back was a against the wall and he wasn't at his best he managed to pull out the wins, did what he had to do.
