    He couldn't walk down a street without being abused. Couldn't open the papers without being insulted, etc. Couldn't even stop at traffic lights with his window down without being spat at through the window. Crazy times. Plus he was at least fortnightly in taxis back and forth to studios in London for TV chat show appearances, interviews, photo shoots, public training sessions in Peckham or Brixton etc. Mad mad times

    No aristocratic accent because he's concussed here and his tongue has an inch long, half inch deep laceration.

    The guy was pissing and shitting blood for weeks.

    He was in a far worse state in hospital after the second Watson fight, looked like the elephant man after a few hours his cousin Bobbie Joe Edwards said, and actually couldn't string a sentence together.

    I remember this was front page news in the UK, main headline TV news. As was the so called robbery v Watson (first fight) and the tragedy of Watson (second fight). No sportsman has ever received the same amount of attention and anguish.

    He was attacked on his way back to the dressing room after Watson first fight decision, suffering whiplash and scratches and a few bruises to his legs from kicks.

    I don't know about that, they loved to take anything he said out of context and make him out to be the bad guy (which he wasn't).

    "Outclassed" couldn't be a more ridiculous way to put it. Out hustled, certainly. Tiberi was no where near the class of James toney as a fighter and no sane person would ever try to claim he was. Toney was bloating up 50-60 pounds in between fights at that point and had a ridiculous training philosophy of nothing but live sparring to get into shape. He overlooked Tiberi nothing more. Plenty of other great fighters have looked less than impressive in stay-busy fights

    I’ve enjoyed many conversations with Monsieur Eubank, an absolute gentleman with an incredible story to tell. Someone really needs to make a movie of this man’s life.

    I'm looking forward to the movie on Watson, centering around the Eubank II fight tragedy and aftermath/struggle, culminating in the marathon completion that left the nation in tears.

    But yeah, other than Tyson and Ali, Eubank is the one!
