Don't have the video but here is what he told his son at the end of the 8th Chris Eubank Snr tells Chris Eubank Jnr at the end of the 8th round, "If the referee doesn't stop it then, I don't know what to tell you, but I will tell you this, if he doesn't stop it and we keep beating him like this, he is getting hurt, and if it goes to a decision why didn't the referee stop the fight, I don't get why". ‪#‎EubankJrBlackwell‬ ‪#‎PrayForBlackwell‬ He also told him your not going to beat him in the face but the body
That was pretty crazy. He could see the signs; high praise for Eubank sr. I have no idea why the ref kept letting blackwell get smoked like that.
https://amp.twimg.com/v/d47d9bab-5eb9-4ef5-a8d0-5c168d037066 Not just this, but even in the press conference before the fight he warned the ref to look out for Jr's opponents. People ridicule this man, call him an attention seeker etc. He knows what he is doing.
He saw the signs for sure and probably was showing more compassion towards Blackwell than many are giving him credit for. On the other hand Woodhall probably wished it was a 15 rounder the way he was biased towards Blackwell and confirms what an utter biased **** he is.
Wow. Props to both Eubanks. (Sr. for giving those instructions and Jr. for abiding them...haven't seen the fight but heard that CEJ let up and barely threw punches before the stoppage) That is some far beyond the call of duty sportsmanship. Many in that position would have made the ruthless choice, putting winning mentality over compassion.
Christopher snr was right .blackwell fought a very brave but foolish fight he seemed to be daring jr to hit him over and over its easy to blame the ref but what the hell we're blackwells corner doing ? The way they were talking this was part of the plan let chris tire from punching there fighter all over the ring .total tools could have got blackwell killed nothing worse than a brave corner.
High praise to Eubank for having the wherewithal to fully comprehend the situation, I only wish the ref or Lockett would have that cognizant of the situation, but its really hard to admit to yourself your guy has no chance, very classy move and Eubank Sr. deserve a ton of credit for this.
