“The first dollar should always drop to the fighter - it should not be the broadcaster first and the fighter second. If Sky say they want the first dollar then they are the ones who will be killing this deal. It’s all in their hands.”

I think the Eubanks want to cash out. :think

flashy, in your mind anyone not EE that wants their fair share of money is cashing out.
    1. When Canelo and Oscar told GGG and K2 they wanted a 70/30 split you freaked out.
2.When K2 told Ward that GGG was A-side and would make the most if they fought you were all for it.

You can't have it both ways. You were mad that Mayweather made more money than Pacquiao, was that cashing out for Floyd when he beat him?
Kovalev has been broke 95% of his career, it would be fair that he gets the most in the Ward fight I'm I right? Or if he does is it Kovalev cashing out to Ward?

On one hand, I support Cej because I always place interests of fighters ahead of the interests if money bags like the network officials. However, the timing seems incredibly suspect. While Eubank was preparing to fight for the British title against a guy that is only known to his Imidiate family, he couldn't stop talking about GGG. But as soon as the fight was over and the time has come to sign on the dotted line, financial issues materialized out of thin air.

In his defense, they weren't discussing any financials until he finished his fight 2 days ago.

I am not even sure their financial goal is realistic. Sr expects 6 million pounds (as per bscene ) which may be a bit much seeing how GGG is coming to his backyard and bringing 3 belts with him. $8.5 mil for CEJ spoken publicly means GGG will ask for at least the same amount, the fight may not be profitable after such payouts.

It looks to me as though the English's were using Golovkin's name for exposure, and didn't actually expect Hearn to come through with it.

Don't talk the fight up if you will sabotage it. Eubank knew beforehand how much the TV broadcaster will take.

They better put it in an outdoor stadium and hope Eubank can fill it up

$8.5 mill for GGG? Good for him!!! That's a nice pay day alright, bout time he got paid proper

Call me an optimist but I still think this fight has a great chance of happening

Not if the Eubanks are expecting that type of money.

I'll be honest, how much celebrity does Jr. hold in the UK, I obviously know all about his father, but Jr. is a fledgling fighter. Can he command that much money?

No promoter would start negotiations without knowing what his fighter more or less wants. Hearns also knows roughly how to estimate how big fight against Golovkin could be. So in the big picture, there has not been any sudden surprises. If the money suddenly isn´t right, its because Eubanks had no serious desire to fight in the first place. Sad.
