Did he actually say those words or is it just your interpretation?

Roy Jones Junior man handled him at SMW. Toney barely landed anything all night.

I think RRJ beats Toney prime for prime at MW, 9 times out of 10.

Therefore Toney cannot be the best.

Toney certainly has a better MW resume than Roy. I do think Roy wins H2H at the lower weights though.

    He was ill.

Jones wouldn't of beaten Nunn or McCallum at 160lbs. Reggie Johnson back then was 5x the fighter he was in 99

I believe Chris has a drinking problem. Wouldn't make him a bad fellow, though.

Hard to imagine anybody touching RJJ in his prime and if you can't touch him, you can't beat him. Reflexes and athleticism was just too good, so I don't agree with this.

James Toney is better than monzon , ketchell, Greb and some other guys from the primitive era . Lol @ ketchell/Greb being better than Toney.

Jones never fought a great aggressive fighter. Hearns and Hagler both beat him at 160.

I agree. But that's based on a fully motivated, prime and in shape James. There was no one better from a boxing skills and natural fighters instinct perspective of course Toney wasn't always the professional when it came to preparing for a fight which says a lot about just how deep his skill level was.

I agree, Toney-Tiberi was a very close fight and a very tough bout to score.
