FW does not think negotiations with Eubank Snr will work Who will win purse bids? Will Hearn bid after the GGG fiasco and losing Blackwell bids earlier in the year Will Eubank vacate instead of defending against Langford Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
He'd have to vacate surely.... but then with the Eubanks you never know. When the Jacobs fight was on the table they decided to take the Blackwell fight.
Take what Frank said with a pinch of salt- He would love to have Eubank on the channel- I would be surprised if he doesn't bid for the fight. Warrren over 3 decades has dealt with the likes of Tyson, Don King, Naz, Benn, Herbie Hide, Lenny McClean, Mikey Duff, and the Cartel etc - yes he's older now but dealing with Eubank would have been nothing compared to the those guys.
If he beats Langford, does.be.become wbo mandatory, as langford is number one behind Billy Joe Saunders, is frank luring the eubanks in?
Right I need some of you intelligent, business side of boxing people to correct me or educate me, actually I probably need both. I believe has Sr has said he won't work with Hearn again so who will be making the purse bid behalf of them? As it stands they have no promoter right? :think Can FW really low ball them? if the Eubank's side do not put a bid in then FW can agree a side fee with Langford and bid a few grand for the fight and still win the purse bid. This could be amusing, going from a potential multi million pound world title fight with Golovkin to a few grand fighting Langford for the British title.
Hearn still has a contract with Eubank for two more fights but seems to have had enough- there may be a settlement to resolve the issue and terminate the Eubank's deal. Frank would probably work with Eubank again but it might make more sense for Mick (who apparently got on OK with the Eubanks pre Blackwell fight) to bid for the fight and then co promote it with Frank. The whole situation is a mess- I get the feeling that Eubank Sr wants Jr to win the title outright but Jr wants to crack on to world level.
Would imagine the same rules would apply as before though, if Hearn loses a purse bid that counts as a remaining fight. Therefore Hearn may not bid on purpose to void the contract.
