Are you counting the IBO as a world title? It is not a world title. He has fought once for a world title against Groves.

There's part of me that thinks Snr was more scared of Jnr facing Golovkin than Jnr was. He would have been absolutely destroyed by a prime Golovkin so I understand but still, Warrior Code and all that.

Sr said Jr would destroy GGG. Who knows.

Jr is 33 in a few weeks with 12\13yrs as a pro, he’s yet to win the Commonwealth belt; he should be a journeyman in a small studio flat based on stats.

I personally don't recognise the IBO Title at all but had to include it at best case scenario for Jnr.

I think the weight will be a big issue. Eubank will definitely not have the stamina he usually has and whilst i don't think Conor will knock him out, i can certainly see him outworking Eubank and winning a decision if he can take Eubank's best shots.

Eubank is one of the most disappointing fighters to come out of the UK in the last decade. He has a lot of talent, great hand speed and work rate, but content to be a domestic level fighter who never to quote Muhammad Ali 'dared to be great'. Not taking the GGG fight was a huge career mistake.

Not taking the GGG fight preserved the part myth that he has a granite chin. He already a loss on his record so the chin was one of the things they were using to big up Jnr, prime Golovkin battering it at will would have shattered the illusion, he was an absolute psychopath back then.

The IBO is a recognised world title by the BBBC, its just not accepted by the big 4 as a valid world title that can be unified.
It's a bit if a grey area but most hardcores dont accept the IBO as a legit world title as I'm sure you'll know.

Is it like an Aldi world title with cheaper sanctioning fees? Any title could be a "world" title if promoters say so and people buy into it.

Professional boxing is not a serious competitive sport with an agreed pinnacle, it's a set of promotional vehicles competing for cash. It's getting more like pre-1990s wrestling and its plethora of "world champions" even just in the US, with every passing day.
