Sky Sports' website are running Curtis Stevens' thoughts on Eubank, and how in his view Eubank is frightened of Gennady Golovkin. Stevens carries legitimate KO power at world level, something that nobody Eubank has fought came near to possessing. Eubank vs Stevens would answer a lot of questions about Eubank in and out of the ring. Surely after 3 weeks of nonsense regarding Golovkin Sky Sports and Eddie Hearn must be keen to get Eubank in with a world-class opponent before, yet again, the Eubanks become free agents. Stevens would fit the bill perfectly.
Stevens and Monroe Jr would both be good fights for Jr. I would say both give him a lot of problems too, neither an easy fight for him
He bangs very hard though, even Golovkin was pretty respectful of his left hand when they fought. Joining John David Jackson won't have hurt either, his corner for the Golovkin fight were amateurish at best. One thing for sure is that he'd be by far the most physically dangerous guy Eubank has fought, including Saunders.
What's stopping Matchroom from saying "eubank has to fight GGG" per his contract or he can rot on the shelf?
