Real shame - Eubank Jnr had 2 gimmes to get him back into the groove and now a good test is what he needs. Anyone mentioning Eggington needs to lay of the glue but I could see it he they gave Sam enough $$ but we saw what Liam Smith did to the Egg and while I don't think Eubank boxes as well as Smith can he's fit, strong and beats Sam all day.
I hope the fight does go ahead. But if Williams is injured it makes you wonder if Sky are delaying the announcement to try and throw a spanner in the works for DAZN with the Conor Benn fight on same night. If Sky come out and announce the fight is off the all the focus will be on DAZN's card that night and more likely to get more subscribers
It's been a week since Coppinger reported this and Boxxer/Sky haven't addressed this at all. Even Eubank has tweeted about the potential cancellation. Who knows, maybe the fight is on, but if it's not...Boxxer deserves all the **** that they'll get.
It’s clearly off because Williams has stopped promoting the fight completely on both Twitter and IG where he is usually very active. He also liked a comment from one of his fans who responded to Eubank’s tweet about whether Williams was shitting it. As others have said they are clearly trying to sort out a replacement for Eubank. Amateur season all round but if I bought a ticket for this I’d have requested a refund a few days ago.
Williams is a warrior but he has mileage. Honestly Eubank Jr is in serious trouble vs a genuine puncher but I think William has rolled the dice too many times.
That’s ok then. Was hoping for a bout in December run up to Xmas but at least it’s happening. I maintain though that I think the real reason for Williams pulling out of the original date is lack of preparation and not an injury. I think he saw Eubank at the presser and thought “**** me, I need some more time”. And by “time” I mean gear.
Never thought Williams bottled it tbh , I've heard rumours he has left QPL , MTK and Ingle though. Something not right
something seems strange with the Ingle camp at the minute. Willy Hutchinson has gone missing, looks to be back in Scotland. Don’t know if it’s a fall out with Dom or a genuine injury? Based on Instagram him and Dom did look to be very close.
